The founder of R. B. Bhosale, Jewellers’ Industrial Complex, Bhagwanrao (Dada) Bhosale, was a fourth grade failure, thirteen year old lad, Bhagwan, from an eternally drought prone area of Benapur, who left his village as a black (gold melter) worker, for Chitradurg in Karnataka, who not only later on founded black working shops independently, in various states like Bihar, Nepal, Tripura, West Bengal, Rajasthan; learnt their local languages, followed their culture, but also helped his own relatives and poor families from the vicinity, to install their own shops. It was truly surprising that in a very crowded city like Kolkata, he could create his reliable brand name in Gold business.
